The Chronicle has been a purveyor of fine wines for many years.  We recently added a variety of wines to better serve the demands of our customers.  While we do not have the inventory of the bigger wine shops, many of the wines we carry are made in small quantities and sell out quickly.  Our focus has been the value wines that are great for every day drinking, as well as wines for those special occasions.

The staff is committed to providing not only the quality and professionalism of an established wine store, but also the personalized service and helpfulness of your local “cozy” neighborhood wine shop.  If you have not been to the Chronicle lately, you will be surprised on your next visit with a fully stock shelves with very interesting wines, and at a great price.

2015 Real Compania Garnacha - $8.95
This Garnacha is very elegant and complex, with an aromatic intensity that includes a wide variety of fruit (cherries, strawberries and raspberries are most prominent). The nose follows through to the palate, which is redolent of fresh fruit, soft and elegant, with a long, fruity finish.

2015 Pazo Cilleiro Albarino - $9.95
Winemaker's Notes
This first vintage of Pazo Cilleiro has a lively golden yellow color, with green reflections. It is clean and balanced, with citric fruits and white fruit notes, with small white flower aromas. The taste mimics the nose: it is fresh, round and elegant on the palate, with a persistent, refreshing finish. Wine & Spirits - 92 Points       Wine Enthusiast – 90 Points

2015 Pascual Toso Malbec - $9.95
Winery Notes: "This Estate Malbec has a fruity nose filled with plum and quince aromas and a slight touch of elegant oak. The mouthfeel is full with blackberry and licorice fruit and has a rich and lingering finish with smoky accents of vanilla and lingering oak."

2016 Mira Ferry Lacombe Rose - $9.95
Mira is a soft pink rose color, with litchi highlights. The nose is delicate, opening to a red berry and candy aromas. It is fresh and   mineral on the palate, with characteristic citrus notes like lemon and mandarin. Grape composition: 80% Grenache & 20% Grenache Blanc.

2014 Alexana Riesling (Revana Vineyard) - $19.95
This parcel's cool microclimate consistently produces a dry-style of Riesling that provides bright & vibrant acidity making it versatile for pairing with a wide variety of foods.  On the nose, notes of honeysuckle, lemon zest and green apple. On the palate, flavors of jasmine, ginger and grapefruit.

2013 Alexana Chardonnay - $19.95
Winemaker's Notes
On the nose, vibrant bouquet of green apple, lemon zest and vanilla. The wine has bright and crisp notes of apple blossom, white plum and great minerality with a long finish.

2005 Castelnau De Suduirant Sauternes  (375ml) - $18.95
A beautiful golden color deep. On the nose, spices blend with candied fruits and woody to form aromas rich but high. The mouth, generous, reflects the great maturity with an imposing liquor balanced by a spicy finish and slightly licorice. This Castelnau de Suduiraut is the richest and most powerful, even before the 2001.

2013 Bootleg Red Blend - $31.95
Winemaker's Notes
This is a deep, dark, intense wine full of black fruit aromas, baking spices and espresso. On the palate it exhibits flavors of blackberry compote, licorice and mocha. It is full bodied and has creamy, round textures that give it a long, lingering finish.  Blend: 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Petite Sirah, 21% Zinfandel, 12% Syrah 12% Merlot, 3% Malbec, and 3% Petit Verdot. Robert Parker – 94 Points

2014 Murphy Goode Cabernet Sauvignon -$15.95
Winemaker's Notes
The tannins are abundant, yet soft and the   flavors of blackberries, black cherries and sweet toast and vanilla are long. This is a wine that will hold up for year to come, but can be enjoyed now in the immediate future. This is a fantastic wine to be paired with a Bone-in Rib Eye.

2013 Murphy Goode Red Blend - $10.95
Winemaker’s Notes
This year’s California Red Blend is a soft red wine comprised of different varietals to create        complexity and to show off the great fruit flavors that our grapes in California contribute. The nose kicks in with dark aromas of black cherries and blueberries while the first taste mixes things up with raspberries and Bing Cherries. The mouthfeel is rich yet soft and has a nice long finish that invites you to take a second sip.
34% Zinfandel, 27% Merlot, 16% Petite Sirah,13% Petit Verdot, 6% Syrah & 4% Cabernet Sauvignon

2015 Siduri Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir - $26.95
The most complete and complex Willamette Valley Pinot Noir that Siduri has  ever produced. This is a wine that shows the character of the full Willamette Valley. Darker berry and currant flavors, along with hints of cherry joined by earth, dried brush, and even tobacco flavors.

2016 Penner-Ash Viognier - $24.95
Tasting Notes:
This is a wine that is characterized by notes of bright honeysuckle and orange blossom with hints of jasmine, apple and citrus zest. The lively entry leading to a mid-palate weight and a lengthy finish, makes this wine perfect with food or on its own.

2015 Cercius - $11.95
Winemaker's Notes
Straw yellow with soft green highlights. Very aromatic, predominantly aromas of citrus, flowers, and flint. Medium bodied and crisp, pairs well with roasted monkfish, paprika grilled game hen, and goat cheeses. Blend of Grenache Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc.

 2014 Trinity Hill Sauvignon Blanc - $12.95
Winemaker's Notes
Gentle flavors and aromas of lime, citrus and lemongrass compliment the distinct aroma of stone-fruit. A mineral element gives presence to a Sancerre-like textural character in the wine. The fresh acidity is balanced by a tiny amount of retained sweetness. This is a great wine to enjoy with fresh shellfish or Asian inspired food matches. Asparagus or dishes featuring goat cheese would also be sensational food pairings.

2014 Cultivate Pinot Noir - $13.95
Winemaker's Notes
The Cultivate Pinot Noir has a true ruby color. You can smell those youthful and exuberant red fruits jumping from your glass: ripe raspberries and strawberries with a touch of pomegranate and a whiff of candied orange peel. Let the wine open up a bit and richer, darker, juicier aromas start to make an entrance. Along with those deeper fruits are earthy touches of earl grey tea and red rose petals. As the wine finishes, that floral touch and whisper of black tea come shining through.

2013 Pine Ridge Chardonnay - $18.95
This is a pretty wine in terms of floral aromatics, resplendent shocks of orange blossom and orange peel inviting in their exotic freshness. Lime and orange follow on the palate, which is bristling in acidity, the finish light and bright. Wine Enthusiast – 89 Points

2014 Chamisal Chardonnay - $13.95
Winemaker's Notes: Aromas of lemon drop, apple blossom and refreshing minerality highlight tropical notes of juicy mandarin, ripe kiwi and papaya. The palate supports the nose, revealing the Stainless winemaking with its round, weighty mouthfeel. Crisp acidity and flavors of white nectarine, mango and key lime pie filling round out the clean, lingering finish.

2014 Double Canyon Cabernet Sauvignon - $16.95
Tasting Notes:
This Cabernet embodies an enticing array of ripe red and black plum, intermixed with notes of fresh red cherry. Characteristic of the appellation and 2014 vintage, the nose offers spiced potpourri with a touch of raspberry preserves. The addition of Syrah leads to a full and rich texture on the mid-palate, further accented by bright acidity from the Petit Verdot, sweet red fruit from the Merlot and luscious blackberry notes supplied by the Malbec. The soft and supple mouthfeel is supported by the complexity of sweet oak tannins and fresh fruit character, finishing with the juicy acidity that is characteristic of Horse Heaven Hills.

2014 Saldo Zinfandel    $22.95
Winemaker's Notes:
“Dark ruby color with bold aromas of blackberry, plum and clove. The entry is rich and full, with juicy acidity encircled in flavors of Mexican chocolate, cherry and vanilla extract. Voluptuous and persistent finish with smooth tannins.”

2010 Saldo Zinfandel  $17.95
Winemaker notes:
"The 2010 Saldo has a dark ruby color and intense aromas of dark cherry, cocoa powder and baking spice. The entry is rich and full, and leads into a broad mid palate with concentration and density, backed by lively acidity. The texture is soft and the tannins are polished. The finish is long with persistent notes of chocolate, berry and vanilla bean."
