The Chronicle has been a purveyor of fine wines for many years.  We recently added a variety of wines to better serve the demands of our customers.  While we do not have the inventory of the bigger wine shops, many of the wines we carry are made in small quantities and sell out quickly.  Our focus has been the value wines that are great for every day drinking, as well as wines for those special occasions.

The staff is committed to providing not only the quality and professionalism of an established wine store, but also the personalized service and helpfulness of your local “cozy” neighborhood wine shop.  If you have not been to the Chronicle lately, you will be surprised on your next visit with a fully stock shelves with very interesting wines, and at a great price.

This Cabernet embodies an enticing array of ripe red and black plum, intermixed with notes of fresh red cherry. Characteristic of the appellation and 2014 vintage, the nose offers spiced potpourri with a touch of raspberry preserves. The addition of Syrah leads to a full and rich texture on the mid-palate, further accented by bright acidity from the Petit Verdot, sweet red fruit from the Merlot and luscious blackberry notes supplied by the Malbec. The forward fruit character of red raspberries and bright cherries are well supported by a finish of toasted bread, walnuts, and vanilla.

Chateau De Bligny Champagne - $29.95
Ripe pear and melon flavors contrast the tart trusy acidity in this wine. It has a distinct scent of wood spice, which carries through the wine and takes it in a sweet, umami direction.  A creamy, Rococo Champagne, this would be satisfying with simple dishes like flukecrudo.
